BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Lee University lacrosse team had two players on the All-Gulf South Conference Second Team. Sophomore Savannah Weisman in goal and Lily Tomczik, a junior midfielder were selected. Flagler College has the attacker, midfielder, defensive, amd coach of the year. Jessica Wright is the attacker of the year, Ella Pinder is the midfielder, Molly Sloan is the defender, and Grant Kelam is the Coach of the Year. Olivia Rewers from UAH is the freshman of the year.

Savannah Weisman has had a fantastic season in goal. She is fifth in the nation in saves with 164 and leads the GSC in saves. She has the second best save percentage in the GSC at .427%. She is averaging 9.82 saves a game. She also has the most ground balls in the GSC with 62 and is eighth in the country in ground balls per game. As a goalkeeper she has also caused five turnovers.
 
Lily Tomczik has been a great midfielder for Lee this season. She is third in the GSC in ground balls with 37 and fourth in draw controls this season with 46. She has also caused the second most turnovers in the league this season with 26. She has 22 goals and double digit assists this season with ten. She has taken 48 shots. She is shooting 72% on the year.

Coach Megan Smith is excited for what Weisman and Tomczik have accomplished. "Super excited for Lily and Sav for both being recognized for their hard work and impact on our team this year. The GSC is filled with amazing players and it is a huge honor to have them acknowledged! "
