RESULTS

EMPORIA, Kan. – The Lee University track & field teams advanced four athletes to the finals of their respective events on the first day of the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day event is being held at the Zola Whitten Track in the Francis G. Welch Stadium.

The Lady Flames and Flames each had two runners move on to their event finals and one per team not make it out of the preliminary round.

 
Team Standings:

• Neither team has accumulated any team points through the first day of competition.

 
Event Finals:

• Brynn Depinet was unsuccessful in her three attempts at 3.65 meters in the Pole Vault. She finished tied for 21^st with no height.

 
Event Preliminaries:

• Pierre Chauveau finished third in Heat No. 1 to earn one of the automatic qualifier spots in the men's 1500-meter run. His time of 3:50.03 was the 11^th-fastest in the prelims. The top four of the two heats and the next four best times advanced to the finals.
• Aria Hawkins won her heat and posted the top overall time of 4:23.30 in the women's 1500 to lead a 12-runner field into Saturday's final.
• Maddox Mayfield was second in her heat and sixth overall with her time of 53.62 seconds in the 400-meter dash. Eight runners advanced to the final on Saturday.
• Stephen Clark and Parker Campbell competed in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase. Clark won his heat and posted the top time of 8:52.84 to advance to the finals on Friday. Campbell placed sixth in his heat. His time of 9:00.58 put him in 13^th place and 3.35 seconds behind the final qualifying time (8:57.33) posted by Noah Selvaraj of Grand Valley State.
• Maria Mitchell finished 10^th in Heat No. 2 and was 21^st overall in the women's steeplechase. Mitchell posted a time of 11:07.42 with the final qualifier recording a time of 10:40.20 (fourth in Heat No. 2).
