BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After helping lead the Lee University lacrosse team to a 18-10 victory over the University of Montevallo, freshman Taylor McGovern was named Gulf South Conference freshman of the week.

McGovern scored four times and had one assist in the win over Montevallo. She was six for six in shots and shots on goal. She added two ground balls and two caused turnovers.

This week, the Lady Flames host Shorter University on Wednesday and then the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Sunday for senior day.
