BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After a fantastic showing to start the season at the Southern Showcase, Pierre Chauveau was named the Gulf South Conference runner of the week.

The 12^th-ranked Lee University men's cross country team began its 2025 season with a seventh place finish at the Southern Showcase. 
In a race filled with NCAA DI competition, the Flames collected 200 points to be the top finishing non-DI team.

The Flames' first finisher was Pierre Chauveau. He completed the race in 25^th overall with a time of 24:14.03.
